OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH Westminster Foundation
Westminster Foundation is an organisation representing the charitable activity of the Duke of Westminster and Grosvenor businesses, that provides long-term sustainable help and direction to vulnerable young lives, working with local organisations who create opportunities for young people up to the age of 25, so that they and their families have the resilience, skills and capacity to lead happy and healthy lives.
Street League has been working with the Westminster Foundation since 2020. They provided a grant of over £400,000 over 5 years for Street League to set up an innovative Hub for Excellence in Westminster. This Hub helps young Londoners achieve their potential with education and employment support.
The Hub is based at the St Andrews Club in Westminster and combines our successful sports and employment programme with a new qualifications programme – giving young people a second chance to achieve their maths and English GCSEs at the same time as they develop their life and workplace skills.
We were delighted to welcome the Duke of Westminster to our programme in 2020. During the visit he said:
“Street League is an excellent charity with a brilliant track record of engaging hard to reach disadvantaged young people in learning, with the aim of supporting them through the qualifications that are so important in helping them into employment, so we’re delighted to support them.”
