The Street League Story 2001 Dr Damian Hatton set up a football league (the Street League) to engage and support people experiencing homelessness in London. 2003 ‘Street League’ incorporated and registered as a charity; using football to support people experiencing homelessness. 2008 First investment received from Inspiring Scotland to deliver employability services to young people. 2011 Street League focuses on implementing employability services UK-wide. 2012 Qualifications delivery introduced to underpin young people’s progression. 2015 To better engage more young people, dance and other sports introduced to Street League’s programmes. 2016 Disengagement and 6-month job sustainment become critical to Street League’s social impact reporting. First Modern Apprenticeships delivered. 2019 Street League introduced a co-leadership model and its first full-year school programme, Goal (with Standard Chartered Bank). 2020 Online sport and employment service, Head – Body – Future, is launched, ensuring continued support for young people during Covid-19 pandemic. 2021 2021-26 business plan launched, setting Street League’s vision of a brighter future for all young people. 2022 and Beyond The future is yours!
