Head of Operations, London

Sam Carleton

Sam leads the delivery of provision in the capital as Head of Operations, London. Having started in 2019 to transform and implement significant impact to our delivery teams and young people alike, it wasn’t long before the Coronavirus pandemic took the environment in which we operate and flipped it upside down. This hasn’t deterred the London teams from the strategic plans developed and we hope to continue to see sustainable growth in impact for the future generations to come.

Prior to this, Sam led many teams and operations within the Hospitality sector across a 8 year career, where he managed multiple hotels with large contract bases. This culminated in leading the opening of a 180-bed property on Wimbledon Broadway, a project he is very proud of. More than this, Sam started in the industry as a receptionist after leaving school and deciding formal education wasn’t right for him. He worked his way up the management ladder through hard work and perseverance, skills he is keen to pass onto the young people he engages with.

Favourite Sport: Football, both of the regular & American variety (Chelsea & Green Bay if you must know)

First Job: I worked in a match day kiosk at Stamford Bridge, serving food and beverages.

The impact I feel we make everyday makes me proud to work for Street League and knowing the impact Covid-19 has made to young people across the country, ensures I get up each day raring to go again.
